Accountability to our Donors ~ How your money is used

The money we invest comes from your donations. We are a registered Canadian charity (Registration # 11912 9369 RR001) and the leading private supporter of retinal research in Canada. Although we partner with government-funded research agencies like the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to fund specific research or education projects, we do not directly receive government funds.

In 2011, the FFB surpassed the $4 million mark in gross revenue for the first time in our history. Our signature fundraising events, which take place in communities across Canada, continue to thrive; and our outstanding volunteers help keep costs down. Our generous donors and corporate sponsors were also vital in helping us reach this financial milestone.

Overall, the FFB invests 31.5¢ in fundraising for every dollar raised.
